University of
New Mexico West (
Rio Rancho) Campus
High Mesa Consulting Group has many roles in this project. HMCG initially provided boundary surveying, platting, land title surveying, engineering consultation and feasibility services for the University of New Mexico (UNM) Real Estate Department in conjunction with their acquisition of the property for their proposed 200+ acre Rio Rancho campus. 60 Acres of the site was subsequently slated for medical use with the centerpiece being a new teaching hospital scheduled to open 2012. HMCG provided boundary and topographic surveys of the medical site along with adjacent and offsite utility corridors to support public infrastructure and site design for the first phase of hospital development. Preliminary Owner services also included research and consultation services to identify and coordinate offsite and shared support infrastructure with the City of Rio Rancho, the Southern Sandoval County Arroyo Flood Control Authority, the NM DOT, and other stakeholders.
HMCG recently conducted a subdivision platting action and provided a Land Title Survey to satisfy City requirements, the granting of necessary easements for public and private utilities, and to support federal lending requirements.
HMCG also has been retained by the contract Architect as a member of their design and construction team. HMCG prepared construction drawing for all public and private site infrastructure including public and private paving, grading and drainage, storm drain, public water, sanitary sewer, fire protection, and frontage road realignment and street lighting plans. HMCG is also providing the construction surveying, administration, and observation services for the public water, sanitary sewer, and frontage road realignment projects through the contract Architect. In addition to the public observation and administration services, we are also conducting periodic observation services for the private site improvements. The Hospital opened for business and started seeing patients in July of 2012.
